What do I need to get up and running?

Every website has unique design requirements, which is why we offer flexible designs that scale with your business.

What's needed to get up and running:

Domain name – A registered website address (e.g. yourbusiness.com) that is owned by the client.
Web Hosting – A hosting service to securely store website files and make the site available online at all times.
Website Platform / Content Management System (CMS) – A platform such as a CMS like WordPress to manage website content, pages, and updates.
Email Service – An active email service to support website contact forms, notifications, and client communications.
SSL Security Certificate – An SSL certificate to encrypt data, protect user information, and display secure browsing indicators.
Active Subscriptions & Renewals - All services must remain active and current to avoid downtime or loss of functionality.

Most websites require ongoing subscriptions such as domain registration and web hosting to remain online and functional.

In most cases, the standard hosting bundles we offer include everything needed to run a basic website, including server space, security features, SSL encryption, and email.

Additional services, such as a mailer plugin for website contact forms, may be required to enable form notifications and website email delivery.

How long does it take?

As mentioned, every website has unique design requirements, so how long it might take to get your website published can vary greatly, depending on individual requirements.

Some guidelines on approximate times:

Registering a domain name and setting up the basic web hosting is a relatively quick process, and can usually be completed in a matter of hours if we have all the pertinant client information.
For a basic one-page website, design and development can be done within 3 - 7 days, depending on the content and detail.
For more complicated websites with multiple pages and services, along with possibly a product catalogue which might require some custom CSS and PHP coding, we would allow one to two weeks.
Lastly, a complex multi-page eCommerce website with a large number of shop products in the catalogue can take from two to four weeks, depending on complexity.

Obviously there are a large number of variables in designing and publishing a business website, including content such as images and graphics, business branding, font & colour schemes, and whether you would provide some of this yourself, or you need to us to provide all of that.

Either way, we will stay in touch to keep you updated at all stages of the process, ensuring your needs and input are porioritised at all times.
